About The Position

The Senior Graphic Designer develops and designs creative assets that help support marketing, business development, alumni relations, and admissions teams. This position leads the Company’s branding efforts by implementing cohesive designs and messaging across all marketing channels. The Senior Graphic Designer supports the marketing team with visual design and direction for video, email marketing, social media, websites, and print.

Requirements

  • Position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, communications, or related field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Position requires 3+ years’ experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint, Canva, and other design programs.
  • Position requires incumbent to have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in print set up and production
  • Demonstrates the ability to use task management software, such as Monday
  • Demonstrates project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Demonstrates the ability to excel in deadline-oriented environments
  • Demonstrates the ability to work on B2C and B2B email campaigns and building email drip campaigns in a marketing automation platform (such as Hubspot or Pardot)
  • Demonstrates an editorial mindset that seeks to understand the target audience and how they consume content
  • Demonstrates comfort with presenting and discussing data-driven information with members of leadership
  • Demonstrates excellent writing skills with a high level of grammar, punctuation, and spelling ability
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and clearly, verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates the ability to report on the impact of content in relation to meeting department goals
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with WordPress websites

Responsibilities

  • Defines and maintains company branding style guides by reviewing and approving design concepts.
  • Collaborates with the content team to create compelling content experiences online and in print media by designing complementing visual elements.
  • Develops and creates print marketing collateral and advertising materials that supports corporate and facility initiatives.
  • Collaborates with company departments by providing creative direction and design options for marketing and design efforts.
  • Plans, prepares, and illustrates art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
  • Obtains approval of concept through proper channels and relays all relevant details and guidelines to printer or vendor.
  • Assists in email campaign layout and designs.
  • Maintains timely and thorough communication with all required channels through completion of design projects.
  • Continuously discovers and implements new design concepts to keep digital content fresh, modern, and on trend.
  • Collaborates with marketing team, offers support where needed, and helps with the brainstorming of team initiatives.
  • Presents and discusses data-driven information with Odyssey and facility leadership that supports the impact of existing and upcoming initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
