About The Position

The Senior Graphic Designer plays a key role within the creative team of University Marketing and Communications (UMAC), contributing to the development of strategic visual solutions that support the university’s marketing and communications objectives. Reporting to the Art Director, this position is responsible for producing high-quality print and digital materials that enhance the university’s brand, engage target audiences, and advance institutional goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two years of experience in graphic design and production.
  • Ability to design and produce high-quality work with a strong sense of concept development, superior design, technical and editing skills, and up-to-date knowledge of industry trends.
  • Experience with the printing process including print specifications and final files service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, work within budget, and collaborate with a team.
  • Fluency in Adobe CC, Keynote, PPT, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.

Nice To Haves

  • Five or more years of experience in graphic design and production.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, UX, email design, Canva, and motion graphics a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute concepts for print and digital collateral with great attention to quality and detail.
  • Consult with internal clients, UT team members and vendors on creative project needs and present concepts with supporting brand and marketing rationale.
  • Maintain UT brand continuity and visual appearance in print, digital and multimedia environments.
  • Direct photo shoots and photo searches as needed for creative projects.
  • Develop and manage inventory of relevant materials, supplies, equipment, photos, graphics, and design assets. (10%)
  • Preflight/prep files for both print and digital. Coordinate production with printers, including press checks. (5%)
  • Organize and maintain digital project files within the established archival system. (5%)
  • Other related functions as assigned.
