About The Position

The Senior Grant Manager is responsible for identifying, securing, managing, and optimizing grants, incentives, and public funding opportunities that support the company’s strategic priorities, including manufacturing, sustainability, innovation, supply chain, and community investment initiatives. The role leads the cross functional team of finance, operations, sustainability, legal, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, maximize funding opportunities, and deliver measurable business impact. Plays a critical role in monitoring, analyzing and influencing legislative and regulatory developments at the federal, state, and local levels.

Responsibilities

  • Grant Strategy & Development
  • Identify and evaluate federal, state, local, and international grant and incentive opportunities aligned with business objectives
  • Develop and manage the company’s grant strategy in partnership with operations training, organizational development, legal and finance teams
  • Lead end-to-end grant application processes, including eligibility assessment, proposal development, submission, and negotiation
  • Grant Management & Compliance
  • Oversee awarded grants to ensure compliance with funding requirements, reporting obligations, and timelines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for granting agencies and external partners
  • Track grant performance, milestones, and deliverables; ensure accurate documentation and audit readiness
  • Coordinate internal data collection for progress and financial reporting
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, sustainability, finance, tax, and legal teams to align grant funding with capital investments and operational initiatives
  • Support site-level leaders with grant-related planning for facility expansions, sustainability projects, workforce development, and innovation initiatives
  • Educate internal stakeholders on grant requirements, risks, and opportunities
  • Financial & Impact Reporting
  • Work with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper tracking, forecasting, and reconciliation of grant funds
  • Prepare executive-level summaries on grant performance, ROI, and strategic impact
  • Support audits and compliance reviews related to public funding
  • Process Improvement & Governance
  • Establish standardized grant management processes, tools, and documentation
  • Maintain a centralized grant and incentive database • Monitor regulatory and policy changes affecting public funding and incentives
  • Legislative Affairs
  • Support the Director of Institutional Affairs in development of policy strategy and management including position papers, reporting and regulatory changes that may impact the business.
  • Build relationships with elected officials and staff in support of grant optimization opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and government entities
