About The Position

We are looking for a senior developer with strong Google Cloud Platform expertise who also brings practical, real-world experience in the home improvement or remodeling industry. This hybrid role combines hands-on technical development with domain knowledge to ensure our systems accurately support dealer operations, in-home sales, marketing, customer management, and product ordering workflows. You will help stabilize and scale our backend systems while providing critical guidance so that new features reflect how the home improvement business actually works in the field. This position plays a critical dual role: strengthening our Google Cloud and backend capabilities while bringing essential home improvement domain expertise to the team. Your contributions will help deliver more accurate features faster, improve system reliability, and support overall business growth.

Requirements

Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform and Firebase
Proficiency in modern development practices, including AI-assisted/agentic workflows (Antigravity, Gemini, or similar tools preferred)
Solid full-stack or backend development background with web applications, APIs, and cloud-based systems
Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies in a fast-paced environment
Self-directed, high-accountability developer who thrives in a results-oriented setting
Excellent communicator who can bridge technical implementation and business/domain needs
Comfortable working on-site in Orange County and collaborating directly with leadership and cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience in the home improvement, remodeling, or related dealer-based industry
Understanding of dealer operations, in-home sales tools, marketing processes, customer journeys, and product ordering systems
Recent experience at companies like Renovo Home Partners (or similar home improvement organizations)

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Google Cloud Platform, Firebase, and related modern technologies
Leverage AI-assisted and agentic development tools (including Google Antigravity, Gemini, Cursor, etc.) to deliver features rapidly and efficiently
Collaborate with the team to translate home improvement domain requirements into correct, production-ready functionality
Review and validate features to ensure they align with real dealer, in-home sales, marketing, and customer workflows
Help reduce rework by identifying gaps between proposed features and actual business realities
Support system stability, debugging, and optimization of existing applications (Python, PHP, Java, React, etc.)
Contribute to improving development processes using AI tools to increase team output and efficiency
