About The Position

The Senior Global Indirect Sourcing Manager position is a critical commercial leadership role that will serve multiple business units and a diverse mix of sites within specific regions (North America, Mexico and the European Union), while ensuring compliance to various corporate level-initiated activities. The position will drive and support Global Operations, while developing and implementing strategies for indirect materials and services that will reduce cost, improve quality & service levels, and mitigate risk to the overall enterprise.

Requirements

  • BS or BA degree in Business, Engineering, Science or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • CPM or similar accreditation preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing regional procurement groups and/or efforts of diverse teams (preferably with a medical device manufacturer or large manufacturing-based organization).
  • Familiar with FDA, cGMP, and ISO quality system requirements for a diverse medical device manufacturer.
  • Experience and comfort in delivering solid sourcing performance, while executing in a remote management and team-based environment.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication (written & verbal), and presentation skills and abilities are required.
  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office products, and web/voice conferencing technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement global indirect sourcing strategies and budgets for assigned categories that leverage the global spend of the enterprise to ensure proper economies of scale are achieved.
  • Develop relationships with key personnel in strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders/customers.
  • Host regular teleconference/in-person meetings with suppliers.
  • Host Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers.
  • Support site procurement teams on material shortage/service outages/escalations.
  • Support SQE teams with the resolution of supplier quality related and engineering issues.
  • Provide purchasing and sourcing support to multiple legal entities, business units, and departments including Professional Services, Corporate Services, Finance, Facilities, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Human Resources.
  • Lead contract negotiations, establish supply & service agreements and lead dispute resolution with our supply base.
  • Support the implementation of all other business critical supplier documentation - Quality Agreements; LSAS; Conflict materials.
  • Identify CIP/Process Improvement opportunities with suppliers.
  • Support NPI team on the identification and on-boarding of new suppliers in support of new projects through RFP's and cost analysis.
  • Maintain an ability to generate and evaluate alternatives, analyse data, reach logical conclusions, and formulate recommendations for management review and consideration.
  • Support all corporate level purchasing related activities for the region to ensure compliance with internal procedures and policies.
