As a Senior Global Facilities Engineer - Mechanical at Micron, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that form the future of semiconductor technology. You will be in charge of providing excellent engineering services and support for the planning, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of critical facilities systems. This role highlights Global Standardization and Alignment, Innovation, Reliability and Performance, and Sustainability. Your duties encompass Semiconductor Mechanical and Process Systems like Cleanroom HVAC, Chilled Water, Heating Water, Makeup Air, Recirculation Air, Process Cooling Water, Process Exhaust, Compressed Air, Process Vacuum, General HVAC, Building, and Fire Protection systems, among others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in Semiconductor and/or Facilities related industry.
  • Proficiency in Facilities and Semiconductor Mechanical and Process Systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule workload and work on multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Solid organizational skills and a customer-centered attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills.
  • Self-motivated worker.
  • Familiarity with Semiconductor Manufacturing and Facilities systems.

Responsibilities

  • Offer Technical Aid, Direction, and Mastery to Global, Regional, and Site Facilities and Manufacturing teams as the Technical Field Domain Authority.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including Technology Development Team, Procurement, Finance, and Legal.
  • Analyze system builds to identify improvements for performance, efficiency, reduced maintenance, and cost savings.
  • Support sites with problem analysis using standard tools and methodologies.
  • Compare against both internal and external Micron locations for Engineering Best Practices and Best Known Methods (BKM).
  • Maintain modern technical knowledge in your subject area, including Industry Trends, Technological advances, and Develop Innovations.
  • Assist global, regional, and site building and construction project teams in the development of new large-scale facilities infrastructure projects.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Micron’s Global Build and Construction Standards and Specifications.
  • Invent system composition concepts for deployment into Construct and Construction Projects.
  • Ensure communication with local Facilities, Build, Construction, Procurement, and Manufacturing collaborators.
  • Conduct timely evaluations of build packages, offering detailed feedback.
  • Provide cost and schedule estimates and justification for approval.
  • Supervise and coordinate Consultant resources as required.
  • Ensure creations align with all standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Review capacity planning databases and system operating trends across the network.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Micron Global Best Known Methods (BKM) documents centered on Operations and Maintenance Reliability and Performance.
  • Lead worldwide facilities programs and initiatives, setting goals, roadmaps, and high-level implementation strategies.
  • Head the Global Facilities Sustainability Programs to advance Micron’s Corporate Sustainability objectives.
  • Collect and consolidate Lessons Learned and feedback from global teams to incorporate into Micron Global Standards and BKMs.
