Overall responsibilities The Senior Account will be responsible for General Ledger reconciliations and reporting. The Senior Accountant will contribute to various aspects of the accounting departments’ activities and also assist staff across the organization in understanding Partnership for Supply Chain Management (PFSCM) accounting processes and systems. This position requires outstanding skills in use of Power BI, Excel, experience in working with large excel spreadsheets, excellent analytical skills, and also a good understanding of an automated accounting system and general accounting principles. Specific responsibilities The primary responsibility of the position includes, but is not limited to following areas: Costpoint administration. Revenue adjustments in Costpoint. Internal cash transfers in the bank between PFSCM bank accounts. Bank Reconciliation. Reconcile Balance sheet accounts. Record received funds for all PFSCM projects in a timely manner. Project reconciliation for project close-out. Deferred revenue reporting. 4PL Financial Statements. Reconcile cash accounts for Global Fund projects and other PFSCM Small clients, with the funds received and expensed monthly. Investigate and resolve all discrepancies and variances. Prepare and record journal entries as needed. Approve and Post accounting documents in Costpoint. Prepare month-end/year-end close. Assist with the annual financial audit and preparing various audit schedules. Maintain and update the electronic folders on shared Google Drive. Provide support to the other accountants in the accounting team and to the finance team. Serve as a backup to other accountants in accounts payables, receivables and/or payroll as necessary. Participate in special projects as required. Perform other duties as they are assigned.
