About The Position

NV5 is actively recruiting a Senior GIS Analyst (Site Lead) that serves as the senior site lead across any remote sites or office locations. This role is responsible for providing support and guidance to GIS Analysts and GIS Developers in the performance of complex geospatial analysis. Due to federal contract requirements, the candidate must be a US Citizen and capable of attaining a security clearance, if necessary. Work Environment: Location: Client site - Washington, DC metropolitan area Travel: up to 15%. Requirements

  • BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Graphic Design, or other related field w/GIS or High School Diploma with relevant professional industry/program certifications.
  • 8+ years of experience in GIS, of which at least two years include direct supervisory experience of GIS professionals.
  • U.S. Citizenship required to comply with government contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience generating complex, multi-layered maps and performing complex geospatial analyses.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in GIS technologies, best practices, and concepts.
  • Familiar with relational database fundamentals and concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of GIS applications using mobile and web-based mapping platforms.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical computer users, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the senior site lead across any remote sites or office locations.
  • Document and monitor assigned tasks.
  • Provide support and guidance to GIS Analysts and GIS Developers in the performance of complex geospatial analysis.
  • Inform PM of all issues, concerns, and accomplishments.
  • Anticipate problems and provide mitigation and issue resolution.
  • Schedule and assign duties to subordinates and complete tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints.
  • Interact with Government management personnel and Functional Leaders.
  • Prepare and provide both written and oral reports to contractor management and Government representatives, to include the COR and CO.
