About The Position
Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an opening for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will do the following:
Requirements
- PE license required
- M.S. in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis required
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas
- 10+ years of geotechnical consulting experience
- Strong and well-rounded geotechnical engineering background
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and positive attitude
- Proven track record of successful client relationships and service
Nice To Haves
- Experience with construction and earthwork activities (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Investigate residential and commercial sites to determine the cause and origin of geotechnical failures, damages, or defects
- Conduct and manage forensic geotechnical evaluations
- Direct, review, and oversee small to large private and public geotechnical projects
- Mentor and train junior staff
- Provide leadership and maintain strong client relationships
- Assist with marketing and business development efforts
- Provide ongoing technical training to engineering staff
- Review and provide direction on engineering work products
- Prepare, review, and sign geotechnical proposals and reports
