About The Position

We are looking for a Geotechnical Driller for a fast -growing firm in Orlando that takes care of its employees and assists with training and growth throughout the company. Applicants need to be reliable, motivated, possess a positive attitude, and have a good work ethic. Essential job duties include: · Perform geotechnical drilling; operate drilling equipment and support vehicles · Load and unload drilling equipment and supplies (i.e., drill rods, auger flights, casing, grout materials, and other associated drilling items needed) with the drilling assistant · Produce daily drilling records and logs · Performing site reconnaissance · Performing routine maintenance of equipment · Ensure that all appropriate safety protocols are followed both in the shop and in the field · Ensure that project needs are met and compliant with drilling instructions, specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures. · Effectively communicate with engineer and other staff; provide information of current job status and locations as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience required in geotechnical engineering, drilling or construction (1 – 2 years minimum)
  • Ability to work outdoors and lift 30 to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. A commercial Driver’s License (CDL -A) is preferred. (CDL -A training assistance provided)
