We are seeking a highly motivated Senior GEOINT Systems Engineer to support our USAF contract on Robbins AFB, GA. This project is in support of the 402d Software Engineering Group (SWEG) at Robins Air Force Base, GA. The Senior GEOINT Systems Engineer supports the 402d SWEG's mission by working closely with engineers, developers, administrators and other technical teams supporting a variety of weapon system platforms and airframes such as the F-15 and F-35 fighters, the B-1B bomber, the C-5 and C-130 cargo planes, the MQ-9 Reaper and the HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter. All work will be performed on base.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree(BS or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering
  • Security+ CE certification
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) and Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) applications and systems.
  • Experience installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, GEOINT application software, system management tools, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows based environments.
  • Experience ensuring the highest levels of systems availability.
  • Experience monitoring and testing application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifying possible solutions, and working with developers to implement those fixes.
  • Experience providing 2nd and 3rd level support.
  • Experience with automation software including Puppet Enterprise, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash.
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite including Jira, BitBucket, Nexus, Jenkins.
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization to include VMware.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS or MS Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise for the engineering, testing, and deployment of GEOINT systems, ensuring they meet operational and performance standards.
  • Take ownership of GEOINT system engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define requirements, scope, and system specifications while managing project risks and deliverables.
  • Lead efforts to identify and resolve system performance issues, bugs, and other technical challenges.
  • Provide regular status updates, reports, and presentations to management and stakeholders on project progress and technical issues.
