Responsibilities

• Monitors quality of repair to locomotives and/or cars to assure high reliability of the fleet.
• Works with control center on scheduling locomotives in and out of the shop and all train movements to minimize delays.
• Provides training to subordinates.
• Ensures adherence to environmental procedures and instructions by employees.
• Addresses quality issues and ensures compliance with requirements at all locations.
• Ensures work is performed within Federal, State, and Corporate Safety Regulations.
• Keeps records of locomotive and/or car work performed and recommends improvements.
