About The Position

The Meta SuperIntelligence Lab is dedicated to developing AI-powered experiences for consumers, leveraging Meta's cutting-edge models. As a product designer at Meta, you’ll have the opportunity to play a central role in the way we build technologies — ensuring they are valuable, easy to use and of the highest level of craft and execution. You’ll be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch. We’ll expect you to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design and visual design skills, while contributing to high-level strategic decisions with product and executive partners. We are shifting from passive video consumption to generative interactivity. Your goal is to design the systems, mechanics, and UI patterns that transform a feed of AI-generated video into a playable, remixable social experience. You will define how user inputs (gestures, prompts, and sensors) manipulate latent space in real-time.

Requirements

  • Systems Design Expertise: 10+ years of experience in game design, specifically focused on systems, economy, or emergent gameplay
  • Generative Tooling Proficiency: Direct experience working with LLMs or Diffusion models. You understand the constraints and possibilities of "prompt-based" interaction
  • Prototyping Skills: Ability to build functional prototypes using Unity, Unreal, or web-based frameworks to demonstrate interaction loops between AI models and users
  • Social/Mobile Fluency: Deep understanding of short-form video platforms and the mechanics of "interactive memes" or bite-sized social gaming

Nice To Haves

  • Interactivity Depth: Increasing the time users spend interacting with a video versus simply watching it
  • Remix Velocity: Designing mechanics that encourage high rates of user-generated variations
  • Model Latency Optimization: Collaborating with engineering to ensure game logic feels responsive within the constraints of generative inference times

Responsibilities

  • Define Mechanics for Generative Content: Design "playable" layers for AI video. Develop the logic for how a user’s interaction (e.g., a swipe, a voice command, or a tilt) triggers specific generative shifts or branching paths in the video output.
  • Systemize "Vibe-Coding": Translate subjective aesthetic concepts into technical game parameters. You will bridge the gap between natural language prompts and hard-coded gameplay variables.
  • Develop Remix Loops: Create frameworks that allow users to "fork" a piece of content, modify its parameters, and re-generate it. You are designing for viral, iterative play rather than linear completion.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Work directly with AI Research Engineers to align model capabilities with player agency. You will determine what the model should generate based on how a user wants to play.
