Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company with the mission to be the world's most trusted driver. Since its start as the Google Self-Driving Car Project in 2009, Waymo has focused on building the Waymo Driver-The World's Most Experienced Driver-to improve access to mobility while saving thousands of lives now lost to traffic crashes. The Waymo Driver powers Waymo's fully autonomous ride-hail service and can also be applied to a range of vehicle platforms and product use cases. The Waymo Driver has provided over ten million rider-only trips, enabled by its experience autonomously driving over 100 million miles on public roads and tens of billions in simulation across 15+ U.S. states. Waymo's commercial service is running in five cities, and the associated infrastructure is in an early stage and requires investment for Waymo to grow into a high scale, world-class service. The Event Response & Regulatory Reporting team is dedicated to ensuring Waymo's ability to efficiently, safely, and compliantly respond to any incident from a single stranded vehicle to a fleet-wide challenge. We are the architects of the systems, tooling, and operational blueprints that power Waymo's real-time reliability and regulatory compliance. The team works to minimize the impact of any event by building the foundational technology and processes that transform incident management from a reactive scramble into a rapid, efficient, and scalable operation. We enable Waymo to maintain high service quality and meet critical safety standards as the fleet grows. In this hybrid role, you will report to an Engineering Manager.
