Senior Fullstack Engineer (Technical Pillar) - Remote
About The Position
Orchid Software Solutions is a fast-growing health-tech group building high-impact software for the assisted reproduction industry. We handle sensitive medical, legal, and financial data across products like Seed Trust (Fintech/Escrow) and Gather (Medical Records). We are currently scaling from 50 to 100 people and tackling significant technical debt by migrating to modern architectures. The Role: Technical Pillar We are not looking for "task finishers"; we are looking for Technical Pillars. You will stay hands-on in the codebase while taking ownership of the technical roadmap. You will lead the transition from Node.js to Go, implement AI-driven features, and mentor peers to raise the overall engineering bar.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience with production-scale web apps.
- Next.js Mastery: Deep experience with modern patterns (Streaming, ISR, Server Actions).
- Backend Expertise: Strong proficiency in Go is highly preferred; at a minimum, you must have a proven track record of migrating legacy Node.js/Python systems to more robust languages.
- Communication: Exceptional English (C1+) with the ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Go (Golang) or Python/Node.js.
- Experience in HealthTech or handling sensitive data (HIPAA/GDPR).
- Experience integrating AI/LLM features.
- Familiarity with AWS and modern CI/CD workflows.
Responsibilities
- Architect & Deliver: Own the development of Next.js applications using App Router and Server Components.
- Backend Evolution: Lead the strategic migration of services to Go (Golang), focusing on concurrency, performance, and type safety.
- AI Integration: Design and implement features using LLMs (OpenAI/Gemini) that integrate with our internal data pipelines.
- Security First: Ensure the highest standards for PII and HIPAA-compliant data handling.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Product and Design to define the "how" behind complex features, acting as a consultant rather than just a coder.
