About The Position

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/AWS) Contract Position | Kansas City, MO | 12 Months Overview Our client is a leading financial institution managing critical payment and settlement systems. Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Java and C#
  • Strong full-stack development capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS Cloud platforms and services
  • Python programming experience
  • Experience with enterprise application development and maintenance
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns
  • Experience with test automation and CI/CD practices
  • Knowledge of database design and optimization
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • U.S. Citizen, Green Card Holder, or Permanent Resident with 3+ years residency
  • Must be able to work on-site in Kansas City, MO

Nice To Haves

  • Front-end development experience (React, Angular, Vue)
  • Experience with COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) product integration
  • Knowledge of financial services systems or payment processing
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, configure, and optimize full-stack solutions for enterprise applications and databases
  • Develop secure, scalable applications aligned with institutional technology standards and architecture roadmaps
  • Partner with product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions meeting business objectives
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to implement robust technical solutions
  • Create comprehensive unit tests and support continuous development practices
  • Conduct peer code reviews and mentor team members on software engineering best practices
  • Support QA, UAT, and production releases with bug fixes and troubleshooting
  • Stay current with emerging cloud, Java, and modern development technologies
  • Apply agile methodologies to enable high-performing, collaborative teams
