We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer with 10+ years of professional experience to join our growing technology team. This is a 100% remote position within the United States, offering an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale, enterprise-level applications using modern Java and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for building high-performance, scalable systems in a collaborative environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, application design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. You will work closely with architects, product owners, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure and reliable solutions. The position also involves mentoring junior developers, performing code reviews, defining best practices, and contributing to architectural and technical decisions. Candidates should be comfortable working independently in a remote setup while maintaining strong communication with distributed teams. As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a key role in developing cloud-native and microservices-based applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and security. You will leverage modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies to deliver high-quality solutions. A strong understanding of cloud platforms and experience deploying applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments is essential for success in this role.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
- Extensive experience with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Hands-on experience with cloud services such as: AWS: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, ECS, CloudWatch, IAM Azure: App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB GCP: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, BigQuery
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk)
- Understanding of cloud security best practices and IAM
