About the position
Localize is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their remote team in the US. This role involves implementing new features in Localize's core product, working on both frontend and backend technologies. The engineer will play a crucial role in leading high-impact product initiatives and improving customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Implement new features and functionality within Localize's core product
- Build features on the frontend using React/Redux/Backbone SPA
- Develop REST APIs with Node/Express/MongoDB that power the frontend SPA
- Be actively involved in product and architecture decisions
- Collaborate with other remote engineers and participate in peer code reviews
- Diagnose production bugs throughout the development cycle
Requirements
- 6+ years experience building, deploying, and maintaining production web applications
- Experience building complex Single Page Applications
- Experience writing, maintaining, and integrating REST APIs written in Node/Express
- Experience working with MongoDB and understanding common patterns and data structures
- Experience leading large development initiatives requiring collaboration and coordination with fellow engineers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Javascript, React, Redux, Backbone, Handlebars, Less
- Familiarity with AWS services like Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, Elasticache, Cloudfront, Route53
- Experience with Git/Github, Jira, CircleCI, Mocha
