  • Experience designing and consuming GraphQL APIs in production environments.
  • Background in mixed stack environments, such as Node.js services interfacing with a Ruby on Rails monolithic API.
  • Hands-on experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), microservices, and involvement in monolith-to-services modernization or large-scale refactoring initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discovery and design, decompose complex problems, and deliver small, incremental, high-quality releases.
  • Demonstrated mentorship and coaching of other engineers, including elevating standards through design reviews, documentation, and reusable patterns.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex systems, identify root causes, and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • A commitment to writing clean, reliable, and maintainable code, with an emphasis on readability, simplicity, and performance.
  • Adaptability to new technologies, evolving architectural patterns, and changing organizational priorities.
  • Availability for participation in an on-call rotation, ensuring timely and effective responses to critical production issues outside of regular working hours.
