About The Position

WDG is looking for an experienced and collaborative Full-Stack Developer with strong WordPress Gutenberg expertise to join our team. This is a full-time, U.S.-based role (candidates must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.). We specialize in open-source web solutions that require both technical depth and strategic execution. Our projects often blend exploration and creativity with disciplined delivery — meeting precise timelines, goals, and business needs.

Requirements

• Strong experience developing with WordPress Gutenberg.
• Solid experience with React (or similar frameworks like Vue.js or Ember).
• Proficiency with PHP and custom theme/plugin development.
• Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
• Familiarity with Apache, Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB environments.
• A strong grasp of modern development workflows and version control (Git).
• Experience implementing SSO integrations and workflows.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Linux server management, DevOps, or cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
• Agency experience working on multiple client-facing projects.
• Ability to obtain a federal government security clearance.
• Familiarity with Git workflows and deployment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Work across a range of high-impact, large-scale digital platforms.
• Partner with organizations like the American Red Cross, Barnes & Noble, Aspen Institute, and the University of Pennsylvania.
• Advise clients on modern best practices.
• Help architect and build systems that are performant, scalable, and easy to use.
