Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Full-Stack Java Developer (Spring Boot & React) to support the development of secure, scalable web applications in an Agile environment. This position is hybrid in Laurel, MD and requires Secret DoD Clearance.
Develop microservice-based APIs using Java Spring Boot in support of React-based front-end applications.
Participate in the full Agile software development lifecycle, including sprint planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
Work with RDMS databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like Redis.
Implement automated unit testing using JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
Collaborate with cross-functional Agile Scrum teams to complete user stories and deliver production-ready code.
Support performance tuning, load testing, and troubleshooting activities.
Conduct code reviews and adhere to development standards and best practices.
Interface with customers and external teams to explain application functionality and behavior.
Communicate sprint commitments and demonstrate completed functionality to stakeholders.
Master's degree in a related discipline plus 4 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years, or 12-15 years of software development experience without a degree.
Experience developing in microservice architectures and using Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
3+ years of Agile experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience developing React web applications.
Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
Working knowledge of Docker and Apache Camel preferred.
