About The Position

CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Full Stack Developer (Backend) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design and build backend platforms, integration services, and governance-as-code solutions that support model lifecycle governance and auditability. This role plays a key part in enabling enterprise-scale API development and backend services for model management, monitoring, and compliance. You will be responsible for developing secure and scalable APIs, integrating model metadata and approval workflows with enterprise governance systems, and supporting dashboards tied to Model Performance Management (MPM). The position requires close collaboration with platform, governance, finance, and engineering teams to ensure reliable, compliant, and production-ready solutions. This is a hybrid role based in Reston, requiring three days onsite and two days remote per week.

Requirements

7+ years backend development experience using Python, Java, or Node.js
Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
Hands-on experience integrating applications with AWS services
Solid understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks (OAuth, JWT, IAM, etc.)
Experience managing secrets and implementing secure integration patterns
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and governance tooling
Experience designing scalable backend architectures in cloud environments
Ability to work cross-functionally with governance, engineering, and finance teams
Strong debugging, testing, and SDLC execution skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

Nice To Haves

Understanding of AI/ML-adjacent services and model lifecycle concepts (preferred)
