The SPACE org (Security, Privacy, Assurance, and Corporate Engineering) is launching a Compliance Engineering team to prepare Reddit’s platforms for evolving regulatory requirements. We’re building products that establish the foundation of trust in the Reddit platform, while partnering closely with teams across the company to ensure our platforms and features meet the highest standards. Engineers on this team will thrive in dynamic, ambiguous problem spaces and work across multiple domains and technology stacks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of post-internship, full-time, hands-on professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience with one or more front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular or Lit (preferred), along with utility-first CSS approaches like Tailwind
  • Familiarity with building and consuming APIs (GraphQL, REST, HTTP) and ability to design maintainable interfaces
  • Strong understanding of web performance, including rendering performance, bundling, caching strategies, and responsive design
  • Knowledge of web components, accessibility standards and internationalization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver projects on schedule
  • BS degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
