Senior Frontend Engineer
About The Position
Uniswap Labs builds products that help millions of people access DeFi simply and securely ‒ from the Uniswap Web App and Wallet to crypto infrastructure like the Uniswap Trading API, and Unichain. Uniswap Labs also contributes to the development of the Uniswap Protocol, which has processed over $2.9 trillion in volume across thousands of tokens on Ethereum and 12+ other chains. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated frontend engineer to help us build the next generation of financial products. As a dedicated frontend hire, you will gain ownership over our existing suite of web products, as well as the ability to influence the creation, design, and execution of future products. You will be responsible for ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience across trading interfaces, data-heavy analytics pages, documentation portals and more. We are headquartered in SoHo in New York City and this role has the option to be partially or fully remote.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- A deep understanding of the architecture of modern client-side React/React Native applications
- A desire to keep up with modern best practices in web development
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Swift/Kotlin
- Familiarity with the crypto features and concepts- candidates with no crypto experience are still welcome (encouraged!) to apply
- Degree in computer science
- Love for unicorns :)
Responsibilities
- Consistently produce high quality code and well thought out architecture docs
- Manage large, impactful projects staffed with several engineers with minimal day-to-day assistance from more senior engineers or managers
- Rapidly implement functional UI elements from design mocks, with an eye toward performance and accessibility and ensure that components are functional, elegant, and performant
- Know when to create abstractions vs. one-off features
