Senior Frontend Engineer - Web Platform
About The Position
We are actively looking for an experienced front-end engineer to join our Web Platform team. As a vital member of the team, you will be the architect, designer, and developer across a broad range of high-impact projects. You will act as a force multiplier, partnering closely with 8+ product teams to help build and scale a robust web-based platform that supports a suite of connected devices for enterprise customers at scale. In this role, you will go beyond building features; you will be instrumental in modernizing a massive codebase through microfrontend re-architecture and pioneering AI enablement across all of web engineering.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience in front-end or platform web development.
- Expertise working with modern web technologies such as React, TypeScript, Webpack, Vite, etc.
- Proven track record of building complex single-page applications (SPAs) and hands-on experience designing or implementing microfrontend architectures.
- Infrastructure knowledge: Experience configuring, optimizing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Quality focus: Strong background in establishing robust automated testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end) and driving overall code quality.
- Forward-thinking mindset: Experience with or a strong interest in AI-assisted development and integrating AI into engineering workflows.
- Degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study.
Responsibilities
- Accelerate architectural evolution: Execute and scale our ongoing microfrontend transition across a massive, complex codebase to ensure high modularity, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
- Empower product engineering: Support, collaborate with, and mentor engineers across 8+ distinct product teams, ensuring they have the platform tools needed to move fast and build great user experiences.
- Drive AI enablement: Champion the adoption and integration of AI tools and methodologies to accelerate development and enhance the capabilities of all web engineering teams.
- Innovate the stack: Continuously evaluate, select, and design the architecture using next-generation web technologies and frameworks.
- Own developer infrastructure: Manage and optimize our CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments, reduce friction, and improve developer velocity.
- Champion testing and quality: Establish, advocate for, and enforce rigorous automated testing standards and quality assurance practices across the platform.
- Strengthen platform foundations: Develop shared core utilities, infrastructure libraries, and architectural patterns that enable fellow teammates to build faster, while collaborating seamlessly with our dedicated Design System team.
