About The Position
Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. Our team, Core Foundation, is responsible for accelerating and simplifying the engineering process of building products for the end-to-end guest and host journey on Airbnb. We create the paved path product engineers use to build high quality and performant experiences. The Core Foundation engineers act as the bridge between Airbnb's Product, Data, and Infrastructure teams. We work closely with other engineers from product teams, by understanding their productivity pain points and how to resolve them in a scalable, simple and flexible way. We work with Data to create the paved path which product engineers use to get an understanding of how their surfaces are being used.
