Senior Front End Engineer - Broadbeach, QLD

About the position

As a leading online travel agency and a member of the Flight Centre Travel Group, we manage multiple eCommerce brands. Our mission: "To open the world to those who want to see". We are a tight-knit and social team of technical professionals dedicated to building innovative solutions that elevate the travel experience. We're currently looking for a self-driven Front-End Engineer to take full ownership of our UI/UX, drive innovation, and bring fresh ideas to enhance our web applications. You will develop high-quality web interfaces with responsive design, creating performant, user-friendly experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize responsive, high-performance user interfaces using Vue.js, Typescript/JavaScript, and CSS
• Collaborate with the team of full-stack/backend engineers to create seamless, visually stunning web applications
• Opportunity to contribute to mobile application development for iOS and Android platforms (for candidates with relevant experience)
• Opportunity to assist with back-end development using .NET (for candidates with relevant experience)
• Create efficient, scalable, and maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews and team development practices

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years professional frontend development experience
• Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks
• Experience with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Native iOS development with Swift
• Native Android development with Kotlin/Java
• Back-end development with C# and .NET
