Requirements

2+ years of proven experience as a Freight Broker with an active book of business
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Experience with load boards, TMS platforms, and freight-matching tools
Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on growth and profitability

Responsibilities

Manage and grow an existing book of business across shipper and carrier relationships
Build long-term partnerships with customers and carriers through consistent, high-touch service
Source, negotiate, and secure freight opportunities on a daily basis
Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules while monitoring loads in transit
Proactively communicate shipment updates and resolve issues quickly
Develop and maintain a reliable, compliant carrier network
Ensure accurate documentation, load tracking, and communication records
Drive consistent revenue growth while exceeding monthly margin and volume targets
