About The Position

The Senior Fraud Investigator conducts investigations and gathers intelligence for the purpose of detecting unlawful conduct and/or violations of federal, state, local or gaming statutes, by employees or others.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate the highest level of integrity, advanced professionalism, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all situations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret gaming statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze information, problems, situations, and procedures from an operational perspective, identify any relevant concerns, and formulate or provide input for solutions.
  • A clear understanding of organizational structure, enterprise risk and materiality, and the department's role in identifying fraud, assessing control weaknesses and protecting assets.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while proving to be an integral part of a team.
  • Experienced in conducting both fact finding and confession seeking interviews in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, well-organized, and focused on work accuracy.
  • Driven to succeed and develop skills in the industry through continuing education, open to obtaining professional designation or advanced degree.
  • Ability to manage multi-faceted projects to a successful conclusion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.), Social Media research techniques, and investigative background applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Fraud Examiner designation preferred but not required.
  • Four-year college degree or relative experience in accounting, law enforcement, hospitality or related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with Department, Company and industry leaders that can be leveraged for personal development, information and tips, and investigative assistance.
  • Prepare and review detailed written investigative reports.
  • Assess risks and vulnerabilities associated with sports wagering, and partner with sports book operations to investigate and mitigate operational loss.
  • Act as a liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement or regulatory agencies, and counterparts of outside organizations for assistance on related investigations.
  • Assist with other Corporate investigation functions, as requested.
