TAP is seeking to hire a Senior FPGA/ASIC Assurance Engineer to join our team! The Senior FPGA/ASIC Assurance Engineer is a Subject Matter Expert in FPGA and/or ASIC development to support FPGA/ASIC Assurance efforts in support of DoD. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating various vendor FPGA assurance tools to make sure the tools function in the way they are advertised to function, and to make sure the function of the tool actually provides some level of FPGA assurance.

  • Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science (or related technical field)
  • 14+ Years of Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the development lifecycle of FPGA-based systems.
  • Knowledge of FPGA design tools, including various Place and Route (P&R) tools and libraries
  • Ability to research, assess and report on targeted advanced microelectronic technologies, to include FPGAs, Embedded FPGAs, and/or ASICs to determine their potential benefits to the customer as well as the costs and challenges of importing and integrating those technologies into a practical design and manufacturing process.
  • Ability to analyze and develop system requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures.
  • Ability to conduct feasibility studies.
  • Ability to research microelectronic industry technology advances and trends, prepare and report findings, and make recommendations to Government decision makers.
  • Technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science (or related technical field).
  • Programmatic experience from a systems engineering perspective and in risk management processes and mitigation development on ACAT programs.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes for complex technical development efforts.
  • Reverse Engineering experience
  • DoD 8570 compliance
