About The Position

The Senior FP&A Analyst is vital in supporting strategic financial decision-making by delivering accurate project level insights, evaluating operational performance, and ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial results shared with executive leadership, lenders, and external parties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years direct Quality of Earnings experience, ideally within the construction or transaction advisory services supporting construction clients
  • 7+ years of total experience in FP&A, Accounting, Corporate Finance, or related financial roles
  • Strong understanding of: Percentage-of-Completion accounting Construction job costing and project margin analysis WIP reporting

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term planning processes, integrating backlog, project mix, labor utilization, and material cost trends
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models supporting project profitability assessments, scenario planning, resource allocation, and margin analysis
  • Prepare detailed variance analyses at project, divisional, and consolidated levels with clear, data-driven explanations of performance drivers
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to support informed cost management and project execution decisions
  • Lead the creation and review of QoE reports with deep focus on: Revenue recognition methodologies (ie. Percentage-of-completion) Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedule evaluation with emphasis on over/under billing trends and margin validation EBITDA normalization and identification of nonrecurring, one-time, or project specific costs Contract structure review (fixed price, cost-plus, )
  • Support internal and external diligence processes
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, advisory firms, and financial institutions during QoE and other financial reviews
  • Prepare monthly financial package for executive leadership including segment performance and productivity trends
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes and controls to ensure financial data integrity
  • Analyze labor productivity, equipment utilization, material cost trends, and subcontractor usage to support operational enhancements and project profitability
  • Assist with pricing strategies, risk evaluations, and bid opportunity assessments from a financial perspective
  • Drive process improvements related to WIP management, budget workflows, reporting automation, and financial data integrity across all systems
