About The Position

The Senior FP&A Analyst will be the go-to finance partner for one of Empower's key sales distribution channels. You'll build and evolve driver-based financial models, prepare forecasts and budgets, and deliver insights that guide decision-making across Sales, Marketing, Product, and beyond. In this role, you'll play an active part in monthly reporting, annual budgeting, and long-term planning while continuously improving processes along the way.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Math, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of FP&A or related experience, including at least 2 years in finance, FP&A, or investment banking
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial modeling skills
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners in Sales, Marketing, or Product
  • Clear and confident communication skills—able to simplify complex financial concepts for non-financial audiences
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy, organizational skills, and a knack for improving processes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in financial services or a fast-paced, highly regulated industry
  • Familiarity with advanced data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Comfort working in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders
  • A track record of proactively identifying opportunities to improve financial processes or business outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and refine financial models and forecasts to support business strategy and planning
  • Lead monthly reporting and annual budget preparation for assigned business areas
  • Serve as the key FP&A contact for one sales distribution channel, delivering ad-hoc analysis and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Present financial results, variance analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Analyze trends in revenue, expenses, and business drivers to inform strategic decisions
  • Identify, track, and report on KPIs, ensuring stakeholders have the insights they need
  • Continuously improve reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes
