About The Position

Reporting to the Plant Quality Manager, you will implement food safety, quality, and regulatory programs while supporting the daily execution of processes that uphold Conagra’s product standards. You will provide technical expertise, conduct audits, evaluate data trends, and collaborate across functions to drive continuous improvement in food safety and quality. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Gather and analyze data to identify trends and provide input on product safety and quality decisions. Assist or supervise others within assigned technical areas to ensure proper execution of processes. Support management in designing processes and procedures within assigned food safety and quality areas. Deliver training programs at facility. Provide technical guidance, decision‑making support, and data analysis to address food safety and quality issues. Conduct food safety and quality audits individually or as part of a team. Collaborate with internal partners to ensure consistent food safety and quality performance. Evaluate program effectiveness and adjust approaches to enable continuous improvement. Execute inspection criteria to assess compliance levels. Participate on cross‑functional teams to implement quality initiatives and drive supplier process improvements. Perform technical tasks associated with departmental processes and procedures. Apply knowledge of GFSI Benchmarked Schemes (including SQF and BRC), GMPs, sanitation, pest control, food safety systems, HACCP, allergens, and relevant regulations. Assist in ensuring Food Safety Plans (HACCP) are current, compliant with Conagra standards, meet regulatory requirements (FDA and USDA), and prevent adulteration. Provide technical support to cross‑functional partners to ensure regulatory compliance, food safety, and product quality. Collaborate with teams outside FSQRA to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of food safety and quality programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food, Biological, Chemical Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of food industry experience.
  • Knowledge of food safety, food manufacturing processes, and related technologies.
  • Strong report writing, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to food packaging and safety (GFSI, FSMA, FDA, USDA).
  • Demonstrated strength in setting an example for others.
  • Troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigative skills.
  • Physical engagement in manufacturing environments, including sitting, walking, standing, climbing, maneuvering in confined spaces, bending, and exposure to varying environmental conditions.
