About The Position

The Senior Fluidics Engineer at Marmon Foodservice Technologies, Inc. is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing fluid-based engineering solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in an engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and fluid systems.
  • Familiarity with 8D or DMAIC problem-solving principles.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturing, automation, assembly, and serviceability.
  • Proficiency in CAD software or other engineering tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for clear communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the foodservice equipment industry.
  • Familiarity with advanced fluid dynamics concepts.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in design teams for New Product Development, Continuous Improvement, or Feature Innovation projects related to fluidics technology.
  • Develop project plans including scope, schedule, and resource allocation to meet enterprise goals.
  • Apply engineering theory of fluidics to practical applications in product delivery.
  • Utilize methodologies like Concept Selection, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, and Design Validation Plans for fluidic systems development.
  • Participate in design processes, testing, and reviews for fluidics subsystems across product lines as a functional expert.
  • Lead 8D activities to identify root causes of issues and oversee corrective action plans.
  • Conduct mathematical and computer-based analyses to design reliable fluidics systems and processes.
  • Create technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software.
  • Conduct testing, analyze data, and interpret results to evaluate engineering solutions' performance and safety.
  • Identify improvement areas, troubleshoot issues, and propose design modifications for existing products.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
  • Stay updated on advancements and trends in fluid transport and system design.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities.
