The Senior Flow Assurance Engineer will perform integrated flow assurance and process engineering analysis, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Flow Assurance Chapter within the Chevron Technical Center (CTC). This role involves leading high-impact technical services projects that support the Chevron enterprise asset. The engineer will provide technical consulting and support for Research & Development (R&D) in Flow Assurance and Process Engineering, focusing on integrated production systems from wellhead to export station. Key areas of expertise include PVT, CFD, asphaltenes, emulsions, hydrates, multiphase flow, production chemistry, rheology, scale, solids transport, wax, and subsea flow assurance. The position also encompasses water and solids management design and the management of complex process facilities, requiring expert knowledge of Flow Assurance and Process Engineering tools. Collaboration with other chapters within the CTC Operating Model is essential, as is overseeing the corporate Process Safety Time practice and performing complex Process Safety Time calculations. The engineer will actively participate in Process Engineering communities, lead and assist with mentoring and coaching, and perform Surface Digital Platform Product Owner responsibilities. Additionally, the engineer will represent Chevron in industry forums, contributing to the advancement of flow assurance practices and technologies. This position requires approximately 15% travel to various, unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. and internationally, necessitating flexibility and adaptability in travel plans.
