About The Position

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. As a Senior Flight Controls Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have an opportunity to do the following: Provide innovative, technical solutions to solve complex problems on advance aircraft Provide technical and programmatic support and oversight on Navy aircraft platforms including F-35, E-2, and F-18. Perform control law design and analysis Analyze redundancy management of safety critical control systems Support Built-In-Test (BIT) design Perform Flight Control System integration testing (including simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and on-aircraft) Analyze flight control systems including flight control computers, software, hydraulic and electromechanical actuators, and mechanical flight control linkages Support the flight control system software support activity

Requirements

  • The ability to obtain a Secret clearance (Requires US Citizenship)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other technical discipline
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in at least one of the following
  • Flight Control Law design and analysis
  • Flight Control system simulation and hardware in the loop
  • Flight Control system testing (ground, flight, and lab environment)
  • Flight Control Software development, integration, analysis, and test

Responsibilities
