Intel's Client Computing Group (CCG) seeks an exceptional Firmware Engineer to be involved in the design, development and deployment of embedded firmware and platform technologies on new and existing Google Chromebook products. As a Senior Firmware Engineer in the Google Client Systems Group, your work will directly impact Intel's success with Chrome devices. The team builds, integrates, and maintains the firmware that powers our ever-expanding roadmap of Intel x86 client platforms. You will work with the larger team to define and create new features for the future IA-based Chrome devices. You will get to work in a small, agile, high impact engineering team responsible for making Intel Architecture win in the Chrome OS ecosystem. You will work with various partners to analyze problems and deliver product quality solutions in time for product releases. You will work closely with Intel silicon design teams and other partner engineering teams and be responsible for software and firmware related functions during the planning, definition, development, and validation stages of the program. This role requires strong technical and leadership skills to build, scale, and innovatively develop our industry-leading x86 client platforms. Strong firmware development, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. This position requires cross-team communication and collaboration with software and hardware engineers, product validation and scaling teams. The ideal candidate will be passionate about pragmatic problem-solving and automation for improving both product quality as well as the developer experience; skilled in working in a complex, cross-functional organization where your team needs to collaborate ad integrate with other teams across many disciplines; detail-oriented and passionate about new technology and a growing business.
