About The Position

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Senior Firmware Engineer in San Mateo, CA to develop software and hardware test infrastructure to support detailed testing and rapid iteration. The PlayStation brand falls under Sony Interactive Entertainment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of experience designing and developing embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and hardware test infrastructure to support detailed testing and rapid iteration.
• Design and develop embedded systems from proof of concept to manufacturing, including Proto, EVT, DVT, and PVT phases.
• Develop asynchronous firmware drivers for ARM microcontrollers.
• Develop low power wireless systems for Wi-Fi commissioning and mapping applications.
• Develop CI/CD Build Pipelines for automatic build, Firmware upgrades, and tests, by integrating Jenkins, Git and Slack platforms.
• Evaluate alternative device platforms to ensure support of feature sets and compatibility with existing system.
• Define and develop manufacturing test software.
• Participate in the full development cycle for product shipping.
