Overview We are seeking a polished, proactive, and professional Firmware Engineer to support the Firmware Department. In this role, you will be the engineer with strong embedded system knowledge and firmware development experience who can apply his/her expertise in embedded system's firmware design, development, and support for our next generation touch panels in a firm that cultivates a close-knit and collaborative corporate culture. We will look for you to showcase your skills with regards to design, development, implementation, debugging and maintenance of embedded real time software to increase and maximize workflow.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience developing and debugging applications with a real time operating system
  • Must have strong C/C++ and Java programming skills
  • Experience developing and debugging Android Apps and Services.
  • Experience with AOSP and customizing Android framework.
  • Experience with communication networks, protocols and protocol analyzers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing projects and deliver with confidence in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational sense
  • Motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong computer skill
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the firmware development team, your daily activities will include the full life-cycle of design, develop, modify, test, debug, and support the new as well as the existing firmware for all our streaming products.
  • Work closely with Hardware, and Software design engineers to solve cross-functional design issues.
  • Work with technical support to resolve problems in the field with existing products firmware.
  • Providing technical documentation (test procedures, design specifications, etc.)
