Cunningham Security is expanding and looking for a skilled Fire & Security Systems Technician to support our growing service team. This role is ideal for a technician experienced with fire alarm and intrusion systems who enjoys troubleshooting, solving technical challenges, and delivering excellent service in the field. Requirements

  • Prior experience servicing fire alarm and/or security systems
  • NICET Certification required
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Solid knowledge of system wiring, devices, and programming
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
  • Valid driver’s license and clean background check
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform physically active work

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm and intrusion security systems
  • Diagnose wiring, device, and communication issues
  • Install or add components to existing systems
  • Perform system programming adjustments and testing
  • Respond to service calls and system alerts
  • Replace batteries and perform preventative maintenance
  • Document service work, materials used, and system findings
  • Deliver professional, customer-focused service while representing the company in the field
