About The Position

Senior Fintech Accountant - First Century Bank, N.A. What you will do: Lead the full lifecycle of Fintech programs from onboarding new programs through ongoing support for existing Fintech programs and understanding each program's structure. Create accounting processes and procedures for each new program including funds flow documentation, reconciliation, and reporting for each program. Perform daily, high-volume reconciliations related to prepaid card transactions, payment processing, and Fintech activity. Prepare and post daily and monthly journal entries, including those provided by other accounting team members, ensuring accuracy and alignment with GAAP standards. Develop a deep understanding of the financial structure, systems of record, and operational workflows for each new Fintech program and associated processor. Analyze transaction-level data collected across multiple platforms to identify anomalies, inconsistencies or exceptions, escalate findings and assist in resolving issues. Share knowledge across internal accounting staff on the processes specific to new and existing Fintech programs, ensuring accuracy and consistency across teams. Let's See if We're a Match: 8-10 years of professional experience in full-cycle accounting. Background in financial services, banking, or Fintech is strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, formulas). Familiarity with bank reconciliations, prepaid card accounting, or payment processing platforms is a plus. Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We're seeking a Senior Fintech Accountant to support and manage accounting functions related to these platforms while ensuring compliance with GAAP, banking regulations, and internal controls. Requirements
