About The Position

The APS Accounting Systems team is seeking a talented and motivated individual to support our enterprise-wide financial systems reporting processes and data availability. As a Senior Financial Systems Reporting Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing multiple systems and complex reporting processes to deliver accurate & reliable financial data and provide insightful reporting capabilities.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in the implementation, maintenance, optimization, and support of large enterprise financial reporting solutions
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with, analyze, and troubleshoot issues with large datasets
  • Strong Power BI expertise, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
  • Experience with SQL, data visualization best practices, and BI architecture
  • Accounting/Finance knowledge a plus
  • BS/BA equivalency or an equivalent combination of four years relevant work experience and relevant college coursework in business, information technology or a related area
  • An additional five (5) years of progressively responsible experience where strong understanding of database design, structure, functions and processes and experience with database tools is obtained
  • Previous experience with the systems specific to the functional area may also be required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business processes and operational knowledge including functions, procedures, processes, and computer systems
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and tie functional needs to technology solutions
  • Demonstrated project/team experience and ability to prioritize work
  • Strong analytical ability to review data, see relationships and patterns as well as communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience in managing projects and identifying and resolving issues
  • Expertise in PC applications including advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
  • Requires proficient knowledge of emerging practices and technologies used within the area
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and standards impacting business areas
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

  • Manage the ongoing support and optimization of large enterprise financial systems reporting and data availability capabilities
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that provide real-time financial insights and drive business performance
  • Optimize financial reporting functions and processes across various financial systems
  • Collaborate with IT to design, test, and implement new reporting functionality, system improvements, and enhancements
  • Design and develop custom reporting solutions to supplement unique company needs
  • Maintain financial reporting data integrity, accuracy, and compliance to support organizational decision-making
  • Continuously develop your technical skills to analyze and solve data irregularities and reporting needs
