About The Position
The Senior Financial Planning Analyst position is a critical role within a prestigious investment management company located in Irvine, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity that requires a candidate with a strong background in financial analysis and management consulting. The ideal candidate will have between 3 to 6 years of relevant experience, along with a bachelor's degree in economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related quantitative field. An MBA or CFA designation is preferred but not mandatory. In this role, the Senior Financial Planning Analyst will be responsible for developing and delivering complex strategic financial analyses that support business operations and decision-making processes. The analyst will analyze financial and business information, assess key drivers at the business unit or functional level, and provide actionable recommendations. This position also involves supporting the annual budgeting process, developing financial models, and creating business management reports that include key financial metrics. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and strong communication skills to effectively partner with the Global Finance team. Familiarity with digital tools such as PowerBI and Tableau, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex financial modeling, is essential. The role requires a well-organized individual who can manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency in financial reporting and modeling.
