About The Position

The Senior Financial Data Analyst at Nucor Towers and Structures will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of a new business entity focused on the power distribution market. This position requires a data professional with a finance background who can develop financial dashboards, assist in budgeting and forecasting, analyze financial performance, and provide actionable insights to improve the organization's financial strategies. The role emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a growing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, data analytics/data science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in data science, business analytics, or business intelligence, or similar capacity.
  • Expert MS Excel (XLOOKUP, macros, etc.) user who demonstrates ability to engage in data driven analysis and decision making.
  • Experience utilizing programming languages including SQL, Python, R.
  • Exposure to automation technologies (Power Automate, Power Query, Power Apps, Alteryx).
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Experience in database design and modeling for data warehouse and business intelligence applications.
  • Ability to travel on an occasional basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Worked with MS Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial dashboards, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and provide insights on financial performance.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts, including revenue and expense projections, and provide analysis to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Investigate and explain variances between planned and actual financial results, helping management make necessary adjustments.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, and profitability to support pricing strategies, cost reduction initiatives, and business development.
  • Create financial models and forecasts to assess the potential impact of various financial strategies, investment decisions, and business initiatives.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on analysis and financial insights to improve the organization's financial performance and strategic decision-making.
  • Handle ad hoc requests to support business initiatives.
  • Proactively gather requirements and work independently.
