About The Position

The Senior Financial Controller at APL plays a crucial role in supporting the CFO by ensuring that finance acts as a strategic partner across all global activities. This position is responsible for budget management, financial planning, analysis, modeling, and forecasting, while also leading finance projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and aligning with the CMA core model. The role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure adherence to policies and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA, MBA, or other advanced knowledge of accounting and finance matters.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of management experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; leading by example.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and people management skills.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Experience in managing financial audits.
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Solid analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and experience with SAP.
  • Knowledge of US Government contract management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Accounting, Controlling and Collections function by managing GL Manager, AP team and Collections Control tower locally.
  • Partner with agency network and global shared service centers to meet all deliverables and deadlines.
  • Establish, monitor and report worldwide APL KPIs.
  • Liaise with local business and operations teams to implement corrective actions based on P&L fluctuations vs budget.
  • Assist with cost control and cost avoidance initiatives.
  • Monitor the development and implementation of finance systems and controls to ensure efficiency.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and coordinate requirements with Senior Leadership.
  • Ensure consolidation within Group deadlines.
  • Monitor intercompany activity and ensure proper reporting and matching with other entities of the Group.
  • Supervise and approve the development of financial report formats for the Company and various stakeholders.
  • Manage external and internal audits and ensure compliance with group and local requirements.
