About The Position

The Senior Financial Business Analyst plays a key role in leading the analytical execution and continuous improvement of the customer reconciliation program. This role is intended for an experienced analyst who can independently assess complex data sets, deeply understand end-to-end business processes, and proactively identify risks, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities. The primary focus of this role is advanced financial analysis, reconciliation accuracy, reporting integrity, and process optimization . The Senior Analyst is expected to operate with minimal guidance, influence cross-functional partners, and deliver data-driven insights that support both operational execution and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data modeling, PowerPoint presentation preparation)
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and/or Python data libraries for data extraction and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with sound judgment in ambiguous or evolving situations.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of financial reconciliations, balance management, and variance analysis in operational or customer-driven environments.
  • Proven ability to assess end-to-end processes, identify control gaps, and recommend sustainable improvements.
  • Sound independent judgment when prioritizing issues and determining appropriate solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and customer deliverables simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Highly disciplined in maintaining organized documentation, tracking dependencies, and keeping stakeholders aligned and informed.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to prioritize, plan ahead, and stay focused under shifting priorities.

  • Confidence in representing the team in customer discussions, providing updates, and addressing questions with clarity and professionalism.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related analytical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, reconciliation, accounting operations, or similar analytical roles.
  • Experience working with an external client
  • Strong experience working with large, complex datasets and multiple data sources.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience driving process improvements or leading analytical initiatives preferred.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and SOX preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex financial analysis and reconciliation activities for Customer Controlled Parts (CCPs), including ownership of balance validation, variance analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Manage multiple reconciliation and reporting cycles simultaneously, maintaining structured project plans, timelines, issue logs, and documentation to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze large, multi-source datasets to identify variances, trends, systemic issues, and root causes across financial and operational processes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced analytical reports, dashboards, and models that provide clear visibility into reconciliation balances, risks, and performance trends.
  • Act as the central point of coordination for cross-functional inputs by partnering with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and IT to resolve open items and manage dependencies.
  • Proactively identify risks and escalate issues early to ensure timely and accurate completion of reconciliation deliverables.
  • Drive continuous process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, strengthening controls, standardizing reporting, and recommending scalable solutions.
  • Maintain deep understanding of system dependencies, workflows, and integrations to proactively identify process gaps and data inconsistencies.
  • Serve as the primary communicator for reconciliation activities by clearly explaining results, addressing discrepancies with stakeholders, and ensuring financial insights are understood and acted on.
  • Support leadership in evaluating the financial and operational impact of new CCP programs, system enhancements, or policy changes.
