About The Position

As a Financial Senior Analyst, you will work on the company’s financial reporting and budgeting primarily supporting FanDuel operations in Canada. You will assist in providing analysis, metrics and generating insights that support key initiatives. You will serve as a business partner in a cross-functional capacity with leadership across FP&A, marketing, strategy, operations, and business development to pioneer new ideas and solve complex business challenges. In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Corporate Finance or another similar field
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and PowerPoint skills for executive presentations
  • Demonstrated advanced financial, analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to distill financial data and interpret in clear and concise insights to various stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities effectively in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment
  • Ambition to learn about FanDuel’s products and finance processes
  • Desire to learn and adopt using Artificial Intelligence in a financial setting

Nice To Haves

  • MBA and other finance professional certificates preferred
  • Hyperion Essbase, Oracle, and/or Tableau experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial decision support (budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis and underlying cost drivers) to ensure optimal achievement of expense targets
  • Design and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reporting automation
  • Prepare monthly financial management reports including financial statement summaries and operating KPIs
  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, annual business results, KPIs, trends, and critical business insights to the Group's leadership team
  • Proactively provide quantified insights and propose solutions to areas of risk and opportunity to influence business strategy
  • Assist in projects to identify new opportunities for improvement in forecasting accuracy, process efficiency, modeling tools, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Support collaboration with business stakeholders and finance
  • Address ad-hoc financial analysis requests and inquiries
  • Create and improving financial and consolidation models
