About The Position

CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Washington, DC. A hybrid working model is acceptable. We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support complex, client-facing initiatives within a hybrid work environment based in Washington, DC (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). This role blends strong technical capabilities with financial domain expertise to transform data into meaningful insights and actionable deliverables. The analyst will work with financial and mortgage-related datasets, develop and review analytical models, and support cash flow and fixed-income analysis. The ideal candidate is comfortable translating complex technical outputs into clear, impactful presentations for stakeholders, while applying structured problem-solving methods to improve processes and identify root causes. This role may also involve guiding junior analysts and contributing to project planning and delivery.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in a related role
  • Strong programming and analytics experience using Python and R, with working knowledge of Java
  • Proficiency with Git and modern version control practices
  • Solid background in finance or economics, with exposure to mortgage or fixed-income data preferred
  • Experience modeling cash flows and applying financial engineering concepts
  • Ability to transform raw data and analysis into polished, client-ready deliverables
  • Hands-on experience with data collection, analysis, and visualization
  • Structured problem-solving skills, including process mapping and identification of inefficiencies
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; experience with tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting findings to stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage issues, mitigate risks, and resolve technical challenges
  • Experience coordinating or guiding project teams and mentoring analysts
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
