About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst supports the organization’s financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting. This role works closely with department leaders and physician practices to provide timely, accurate financial and statistical information that supports both strategic and day-to-day decision-making. By translating financial data into actionable insight, this position plays an important role in strengthening operations and supporting high-quality care across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a healthcare or similarly complex environment
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Financial reporting systems and data analysis tools
  • Financial modeling and variance analysis
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Professional communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of departmental operating and capital budgets, including multi-period financial projections
  • Analyze monthly budget-to-actual variances and collaborate with department leaders to identify trends and corrective actions
  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, dashboards, and analytics to support organizational performance tracking
  • Provide financial and statistical updates and decision support to physician practices and operational leaders
  • Assist with month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate annual capital asset impairment assessments, including data gathering and analysis
  • Support interim and annual financial statement and benefit plan audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
  • Assist with reimbursement and contracting reporting requirements and related financial analysis
  • Communicate financial insights clearly and effectively to leaders and team members across the organization
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulations in all financial work
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and support informed decision-making
  • Perform work in an office environment with frequent computer use, maintaining focus and accuracy while managing detailed financial information
  • Contribute to the development of financial processes that improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency
