About The Position

At Bloomberg Finance we are committed to providing world-class support to our business partners by providing insight into business performance, financial oversight and thought leadership. We are looking for a senior financial analyst to join our larger finance team supporting the Terminal Business and the Core Product organization. The Finance team provides critical financial advisory to the product teams in support of the business. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for using our extensive data sources to provide solutions to urgent business questions, financial / operational insight, and reporting. Additionally, you will have the unique opportunity to deliver a blend of financial and operational analysis, financial modeling, reporting and senior management support to help develop clear, actionable strategic analyses and competitive differentiation plans and processes.

Requirements

6+ years' FP&A experience, business analytics, and/or corporate or strategic finance
BA/BS in Finance or a related field
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of data while succinctly summarizing findings
Ability to coordinate and execute projects independently, effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and autonomously perform within tight deadlines
Advance user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience utilizing large integrated enterprise software applications (e.g., Oracle, SAP)

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in SAP and Workday
Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar tools and systems, a plus
Flexibility to work in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment
Experience working in a Media organization, a plus

Responsibilities

Support the development and performance tracking of business plans and strategic initiatives.
Contribute to the formulation of commercial strategies through market research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting.
Collaborate on the creation of quarterly financial updates, annual operating plans, and other executive-level planning materials.
Build and maintain product revenue forecasts and cost analysis.
Develop quantitative financial models to guide business decisions and identify opportunities.
Conduct research and perform competitor analyses to support strategic positioning and market entry evaluations.
Develop a deep understanding of Bloomberg's products, customers, competitive environment, and emerging industry trends.
Synthesize market intelligence into actionable insights that support business innovation and strategic evolution.
Design, implement, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and other business performance metrics.
Analyze operational data and report on business health and performance against targets.
Manage FP&A activities in accordance with corporate standards and timelines.
Ensure adherence to financial governance and compliance with organizational processes.
Oversee headcount planning, resource allocation, and associated reporting.
Provide insights into workforce optimization and cost-efficiency across business units.
Proactively identify and implement improvements to existing processes to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility.
Prepare high-impact presentations for the Board and Management Committee.
Deliver insights and recommendations that inform executive-level decisions and drive long-term strategy.
Contribute to change management and innovation initiatives by identifying opportunities to leverage AI technologies.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by supporting digital transformation efforts.
